You are on to something when people starts to copy you.

Totally by coincidence I stumbled upon a company that sells vinyl pinstriping stickers, and one of their designs is 100% copied from one of my designs. I know because it is a pretty distinctive and not very good design. It was actually the first design I ever did. It was done on my practice board, photographed and wiped off.

I can only imagine that the rest of their designs is also copied. Dodgy way to run a business. But I think it’s kind of funny someone copied and sells my first actual design. I don’t mind much about this one. But had it been a design I did for a client I would have to make them take it off right away.

Take a look at the design below and tell me that’s not a total rip off. Copy on the left, original on the right.

That for sure is a total rip off! Well at least you can be proud of your design. Have you asked them if they have sold many stickers of your design :)

Not really. Think I’m just going to lurk around keeping an eye on them for a while. :-D
