Just finished the paint job on this AV8 Roadster a couple of weeks ago. I designed everything from the Woodys Speed Shop logo to the lettering and graphics, according to the customers wishes. All lettering is done by hand using 1Shot and lettering brush. The numbers are clear coated gold leaf.
The car is a mid sixties style race roadster, original 29 steel body, 32 pinched frame, 32 grille, early Chevy V8 with tri power Rochester / Offy combo, early Mehelich wheels.

Here’s a few pictures of my contribution to the Huff-a-Rama Art Raffle Fundraiser. It’s a mixed media piece of wood, 23k gold leaf, one-shot, and vintage straight edge razors. I hope the fundraiser will raise enough money for Bo Huff, to afford his cancer treatment. To learn more and show your support, visit Bo Huff’s myspace page http://www.myspace.com/bohuffcustoms

Had a very special message in my inbox this morning from Pinstriping Legend Herb Martinez.
“This is quite a set up you have here. I’m proud of you son. Keep up the good work and I garentee you will be a pinstripe god. Your work is great and so are your lines. Once you have peoples perception of you in the right place you will have a much easier time getting work, etc. Look what that did for me, and it only took 13 years (lol).”
When I started out pinstriping in 2006 I took Herb’s class in Berlin three years in a row. So naturally he has been a great influence on how I work. Getting that kind of recognition from him is like Obi Wan handing Skywalker his first lightsaber. It makes me very proud and motivates me to continue improving my skills.
I am honored to be able to call some of the best pinstripers in the world my friends. Hanging out with grand masters like Jussi Alasalmi, Pekka Wizzz, and Herb Martinez is priceless to me. They are the nicest guys and it’s always a great time. Something I someday will be able to tell stories about. Just as Herb can tell you stories of Tommy the Greek and the other pinstriping pioneers. I consider my self a relatively good pinstriper but I don’t reach these guys to the ankles.
My greatest respect to all you crazy nutters, keep the brush wet and let the good times roll.

Herb and me at his workshop in Berlin, 2008 I think. Showing off a clipboard we worked on together.

Tim Albrecht from Pirate Kustomz built a 1930 Ford Coupe for the race in three weeks. Jesper Bram did a vintage style race car paint job on the car.
Thursday Sep 9th 2010 they put the race ready coupe on a trailer behind Jespers 1965 pickup and drove it 560km into Germany.
The trip was a big success. Nothing serious broke down during race or going back and forth. It was not the last time they will see the Pirate Kustomz Racing Team in that neck of the woods.

Listening to H.P. Lovecraft stories while getting to know my Wacom 21″ Cintiq drawing tablet brought out this horrifying madness.
Zombies…the classic horror monster. Walking dead in hordes that just want to eat your brains. None of that fancy pants vampire posh clubs an secret societies. Just a brain dead corpse tirelessly staggering after you to make you into a zombie as well. Not totally unlike robot lawnmowers, which would also kill you if they could. Although I’m pretty sure they can’t turn you into a robot lawnmower.
Anyways, this piece is one of my first pokes at pure digital painting. An art form I plan to investigate a lot further in the future.

Larger prints of this piece is available on request. But I have a very limited run of only 10 small prints on some super cool cotton paper ready to ship. All prints are hand numbered and signed by the artist.

Street Rod Pinstriped by Jesper Bram at Viking Run 2010.
Here’s a 59 Cadillac I did recently. Real beautiful car. Classic subtle pinstripe job.
A classic chopper flame job for Ehlers Performance. Airbrushed and then lettered and outlined by hand. On this job the fat white outlines goes with the piping on the seat. Flames has to have outlines. Even just a very subtle outline, that’s ok. But nothing at all just looks unfinished. Not a ton of clear coat will fix that. Speaking of clear. These photos are from before the objects was cleared. I didn’t handle clear coating on this project, only airbrushing, outlining, and lettering.
